General Overview

Psychological operations (Psyops) are "planned actions to convey selected information and indicators to target audiences to influence their emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behaviour of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals. The purpose of psychological operations is to induce or reinforce attitudes and behaviour favourable to the originator’s objectives."

Psyops can be an integral part of the broad range of business strategies connected with political, economic, and informational activities that may be undertaken to achieve short, medium or long term business objectives.

Psyops can, if implemented properly, lower the morale and reduce the efficiency of corporate competitors and can also create dissidence and disaffection within the corporate structure. Conversely and concurrently, Psyops can enhance the probability of strategy success.

This course is offered on a home study basis and a certificate of study will be issued with the final assessment critique.
